About the Course Chair
Don Bird is a partner in BLG's Financial Services Group. Don has been practicing in the area of financial services law for over 30 years, with an emphasis on secured transactions. Recognized as a leading lawyer in Canada for banking and financial institutions by the foremost legal rankings publications, Don acts for both borrowers and lenders in connection with their commercial and corporate loans to both public and private borrowers. Many of these loans are syndicated and cross-border. As well, Don provides regulatory advice to financial institutions, agency work on structured finance transactions, and general corporate commercial transactions.
