Who should attend: Employment lawyers, in-house counsel, and human resources professionals

Learning level: All levels

Employment law continues to develop rapidly and pose unique challenges—especially in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This conference will, once again, feature an agenda curated from the submissions and suggestions of leading employment lawyers, explore emerging and topical issues in employment law, and provide updates on notable recent developments. The conference continues to be the annual must-attend event for all practitioners in the area of employment law.

At this course, you will:

  • explore hot topics in employment law such as trans rights and employer responsibilities, flexible work arrangements, COVID-19 issues, and multi-jurisdictional employment relationships
  • learn about recent developments on core topics such as restrictive covenants, oppression remedy, and employee leaves
  • get your annual employment case law update
  • find out what is happening at the Employment Standards Branch
  • and more

Join us on Day 1, Day 2, or both days for a discussion of these important issues.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 11.5 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1.75 hours pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management). Please note: The CPD hours of the rebroadcast will either meet or exceed the CPD hours of the original live webinar course.
