Tendering is a process that arises in many contexts in a modern economy. Legal, professional, and practical issues abound.

This course will identify key legal issues that arise in the myriad ways tendering is used in business and provide insight into their identification, clarification, and management throughout the bid and award stages.

In addition to covering familiar foundational topics, our expert faculty will tackle emerging issues such as supply chain constraints, price escalation clauses, and new equity, diversity, and inclusion requirements.

Learn which clauses should be included in every tender situation, as well as those customized clauses that may be needed in unique or special circumstances. Relevant case law will be updated and reviewed so nothing is overlooked in getting you prepared for tendering in 2024.

Course objectives:

  • receive a solid grounding in tendering law
  • get your case law update and discussion of recent decisions
  • take away tips and advice on key aspects of tendering

Attend the 1-hour Tendering Fundamentals 2024 session for a review of the fundamentals involved in the process.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
