Learning level: Fundamental/Intermediate

This course is CLEBC's comprehensive introduction to civil chambers practice. The program is geared towards junior counsel who seek an introduction to—and experienced counsel who seek a wide-ranging refresher on—preparation for and conduct of chambers hearings.

This course will blend substantive legal principles with practical practice pointers. This year's program will feature a Court of Appeal Justice, a Supreme Court Justice, and a Supreme Court Master and together, the members of the Bench will share their observations concerning the most common problems plaguing counsel and how these problems can be remedied.

Registrants can expect to come away with a collection of superb practice tips that they can apply immediately to enhance their effectiveness in chambers. The previous edition of this program in October 2016 received rave reviews.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 3 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management). Please note: The CPD hours of the rebroadcast will either meet or exceed the CPD hours of the original live webinar course.
