About the Course Chairs
Tracey Cohen, QC is a leading commercial litigation and dispute resolution Partner in the Vancouver office of Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP (Fasken). Tracey has been recognized for her expertise in Corporate and Commercial Litigation, Securities Litigation, and International and Commercial Arbitration and has repeatedly been recognized as one of Canada's top 25 female litigators. Tracey was appointed as Queen's Counsel in 2015 and was admitted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in March 2019. Tracey is currently a member of Fasken's Partnership Board. When not working, Tracey enjoys practicing her skills at introducing evidence while debating with her husband and two teenage boys.
With a practice spanning a range of corporate/commercial, criminal and regulatory matters, Andi MacKay is consistently recognized by her peers and the courts as one of the most versatile litigators in the province. Andi's standing in the legal community is illustrated by her client roster, which includes the Law Society of BC, the Lawyers' Insurance Fund, the Doctors of BC (also known as the BC Medical Association), and leading businesses throughout the province.
From 2003 to 2010, Andi was an associate special prosecutor in a complex criminal proceeding involving allegations of breach of trust by ministerial assistants. She is currently a faculty member of the National Criminal Law Program, a lecturer in the Allan McEachern Advocacy Course, and a contributing author to a number of textbooks and practice manuals.
