The Franchises Act that came into force in BC in 2017 brought significant change to franchise law that affected both franchisees and franchisors. Since then, the law in this area continues to evolve. Let our team of experts guide you through the key updates that are pertinent to those who advise franchisors and franchisees.

At this course, you will:

  • learn about interesting franchise contract provisions
  • find out what you should be doing when advising franchisees
  • discover how updates from Ontario can provide BC practitioners guidance on their practice
  • learn best practices for advising clients on franchises

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 3.5 hours (this course will contain a minimum of .5 hours pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
