In today's legal landscape, the proliferation of digital technology has transformed the nature of evidence encountered in legal proceedings. From emails and social media posts to complex data stored on computers and mobile devices, the realm of digital evidence presents unique challenges and opportunities for legal practitioners.

This specialized course is designed to provide lawyers with a comprehensive understanding of digital forensics and digital evidence, empowering them to effectively navigate and leverage these critical elements in litigation.

You will gain insight into the technical processes involved in collecting, analyzing, and presenting digital evidence. Topics covered will include the principles of digital forensics, methods for acquiring and preserving digital evidence, and strategies for authentication and admissibility in court.

By equipping you with the tools and expertise needed to confidently handle digital evidence, this course aims to enhance your ability to advocate for your clients effectively in an increasingly digitized world.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
