Injunctions are an important tool in the litigator's arsenal for protecting the rights of parties to a commercial lease.

This presentation discusses the most common situations where the need for an injunction arises in the leasing context. This presentation also lays out the key practical considerations for successfully bringing and strategies for defending these applications.

Given the financial hardships caused by the pandemic, the frequency of these disputes has been pronounced this year. Many of the examples in this presentation are drawn from reported cases this year and will be directly applicable to your practice.

This course will cover:

  • the key practice points in bringing and defending injunctions
  • lease specific situations where the situation arises
  • COVID-19 case law

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 1 hour (this course does not contain professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management). Please note: The CPD hours of the rebroadcast will either meet or exceed the CPD hours of the original live webinar course.
