Writing legal opinions is one of the most exacting and challenging aspects of a solicitor's practice—calling for skill, special techniques, and sensitivity to various potential pitfalls.
An outstanding faculty will lead you through structured discussions about common issues such as when to give an opinion and when not to, limiting the scope and purpose of an opinion, and how to choose the best wording. After this half-day course, you will deepen your understanding of principles and critical issues, as well as be alert to major areas of concern. Walk away with sample legal opinions for various practice scenarios.
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 2.75 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management). Please note: The CPD hours of the rebroadcast will either meet or exceed the CPD hours of the original live webinar course.
