The first part of this session will provide an overview of emerging threats from AI-generated deepfake audio/video used to authorize fraudulent wire transfers and chatbot/generative AI tools that create sophisticated phishing attacks targeting treasury teams. You will gain practical knowledge on verification protocols to counter deepfake fraud, develop secure AI tool usage policies, and implement effective controls to protect against AI-enhanced social engineering.
The second part of this session will examine the legal implications of AI deepfake technology in areas such as defamation, privacy, and media law. You will walk away with a greater appreciation of the issues in play and legal strategies and best practices to manage risk in this rapidly evolving area of the law.
The final part of this session will feature Monique Sever moderating a dialogue between Steve Taylor and Dan Reid on the intersection between technology and law in the realm of deepfakes.
