Burnout is increasingly discussed within the legal profession, yet it is not always well understood.
In this lunch-hour webinar, psychotherapist and former lawyer Erin Peters will draw on current research and profession-specific data to explore different types of burnout and how ongoing stress can influence mood, thinking, performance, and overall well-being.
Moving beyond generic self-care advice, this session will introduce thoughtful approaches to both organizational and personal change that may support more sustainable legal practice.
After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:
- describe burnout and distinguish it from ordinary stress and fatigue
- recognize different patterns of workplace and personal burnout
- understand how burnout can influence mood, thinking, professional performance, and well-being
- become familiar with current data on burnout within the legal profession
- reflect on organizational and individual strategies that may support a sustainable law practice
The webinar will include 50 minutes of presentation time and 10 minutes of open question-and-answer time.
