This course is CLEBC's comprehensive introduction to civil chambers practice. The program is geared towards junior counsel who seek an introduction toand experienced counsel who seek a wide-ranging refresher onpreparation for and conduct of, chambers hearings.

This course will blend substantive legal principles with practical practice pointers. A popular returning feature will be the View from the Bench, wherein members of the judiciary share their observations concerning the most common problems plaguing counsel and how these problems can be remedied.

You can expect to come away with a collection of superb practice tips that you can apply immediately to enhance your effectiveness in chambers. The previous edition of this program in March 2023 received rave reviews.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 3 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
