Who should attend: All legal professionals wishing to learn how to effectively clear up conflict.
Learning level: All levels
Conflict is part of life. But when conflict escalates and people become upset or argumentative, when they shut down or deflect, it drains our energy, complicates our cases, and undermines the outcomes we're striving for. Communicating effectively when faced with conflict can turn these situations around.
In this one-day workshop, we will learn and practice how strategic curiosity, aimed at discovering the "why" behind conflict behaviour, can help us change conflict dynamics and achieve results.
In an interactive and experiential virtual setting, we will explore the pattern of how we think and make decisions in conflict and learn how to leverage targeted, curiosity-based communication strategies to lower stress, reduce tensions, generate understanding, and open avenues for cooperative ways forward.
