Who should attend: This course is designed for lawyers who wish to take their writing "from good to great." It is not a remedial course. Given the complex nature of legal subjects, it is challenging to formulate smooth prose. This course will offer concrete strategies to deliver information in a user-friendly format.

Learning level: All levels

Join us to master the essentials of crafting emails and documents that resonate with your readers. In this course, you'll learn how to write with impact, make your communication more concise, and persuade your readers to agree with your advice.

You'll discover strategies for balancing readability with brevity, structuring complex information smoothly, and ensuring your messages are easy to understand. We'll also cover practical tips on email etiquette, including tone, subject lines, and response timing, to help you elicit prompt, positive replies in your legal communication.

This course is designed to give you a complete toolkit to make your writing more engaging and effective.

The course will cover three modules:

Balancing Conciseness with Readability (9:00 am – 10:30 am)

Break (10:30 am - 10:45 am)

Email Etiquette (10:45 am – 11:35 am)

Persuasion (11:35 am – 12:00 pm)

Testimonial:

“Ryan Standil delivers seminars at our firm that focus on how to write unambiguous e-mails and documents. His seminars reinforce the importance of explaining legal matters to our clients in a way that they can easily understand. Our lawyers and students are engaged throughout Ryan’s sessions. I highly recommend this program to other law firms.”
