About the Course Chair
Andrew Mackenzie has been a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants since 2010. In addition, Andrew obtained his Chartered Business Valuator designation in 2015 from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators and was a silver medalist on the 2015 Chartered Business Valuator national exam.

Andrew specializes in the valuation of public and private companies in the context of matrimonial and shareholder disputes, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and estate planning. Andrew has valued companies in a wide variety of industries including e-commerce, manufacturing, transportation, retail, wholesale, hospitality, real estate, and energy services.

Andrew also provides analysis and quantification of value and damages in a dispute context, including commercial business interruption, breach of contract, matrimonial disputes, personal injury, and wrongful death. In addition to the foregoing, Andrew has rendered forensic and investigative accounting of losses due to employee dishonesty, corporate misrepresentation, and other forms of alleged fraud. Andrew also has experience determining the quantum of income available for child and spousal support purposes.

Prior to joining Blair Mackay Mynett Valuations Inc., Andrew was employed by national and regional accounting firms where he was responsible for providing valuation, forensic, and dispute-related services.

Andrew has provided accounting and business valuation lectures to a variety of local business groups and law firms, including CLEBC and the Trial Lawyers Association of BC.
