About the Course Chair
Tyler Hatch was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Following a six-year legal career that included representing clients in legal proceedings in Small Claims, Supreme Court and a variety of administrative tribunals in BC, Tyler found his way into the fascinating world of digital forensics. Tyler is the founder and lead digital forensics examiner of DFI Forensics, a Vancouver-based digital forensics and incident response firm that he launched in 2018. He has over five years of experience as a certified computer and mobile forensics examiner, and holds several industry-recognized certifications.

Tyler's mission is to help clients recover, analyze, and present electronic evidence in various contexts, such as court proceedings involving IP theft, employment disputes, and criminal matters. In addition, he shares his knowledge and insights on digital forensics through his podcast, blog, and YouTube channel, where he covers topics such as metadata analysis, expert witness testimony, and Anton Piller orders.
