This course will also be of interest to registrars; members of registration, complaint, hearing, and discipline committees; investigation officers; and other staff members of self-governing bodies.

Learning level: Intermediate/Advanced

In matters regarding self-governing professions, the practices, procedures, and rules are unique and frequently changing. Protecting the public interest and maintaining the profession's integrity and credibility have to be balanced with the individual's interest in his or her livelihood, reputation, and ability to practice effectively.

Learn about the latest developments and the most critical and complex issues facing self-regulating bodies.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management).
