Learning level: Intermediate/Advanced

The Canadian Elder Law Conference is a two-day forum on the law and policy issues impacting older clients, featuring updates on hot topics, case law, and current research on law and aging-related issues. Elder law is multi-faceted, touching on diverse areas of practice, including wills and estates, family law, health care rights, and privacy law.

Expect sessions on topics such as predatory marriages and divorces, care facilities issues, elder abuse prevention, MAiD update, the role of the medical expert in an estate practice, and undue influence and capacity. Hear from practice leaders from across the country, including lawyers, medical experts, and health care professionals.
