Who should attend: Legal support staff working in a real estate practice; this course may also be of interest to junior lawyers, junior paralegals, and other conveyancing professionals who are new to this practice area

Learning level: Fundamental

The conveyancing process involves so many details that it can be overwhelming to keep track of all the tasks you need to complete. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the process and offers practice points to ensure that it proceeds as smoothly as possible.

Participants (either you or your support staff) will have access to all the documents typically used in a conveyance, as well as invaluable checklists, sample forms, and practical demonstrations.

The course is taught by a diverse and experienced faculty of lawyers, senior conveyancers, and government representatives who will guide participants through the process and answer any questions they may have. By taking this course, participants can increase their confidence and speed in performing conveyancing tasks.

After taking this course, participants will be able to:

  • have a clear understanding of the entire conveyancing process
  • appreciate the legal reasons behind the technical steps involved in a conveyance
  • handle unusual circumstances that can occur in a conveyance
  • avoid the most common errors that arise in conveyances

CLEBC would like to thank Stewart Title Guaranty Company for their generous support in sponsoring this event.
