Mark Tweedy is an experienced mediator, arbitrator, and court-appointed class action adjudicator. Mark was called to the BC bar in 1982, and practiced civil litigation for over 30 years. He commenced working exclusively as a mediator, arbitrator, and adjudicator in 2014.
Mark has a broad mediation practice. His experience ranges from relatively simple two party disputes to complex multi-party litigation. He has provided services to clients in the public and private sectors, including non-profits and community based organizations. He is a frequent speaker on ADR topics to the legal profession.
Mark is a roster member of Mediate BC, the BC Arbitration and Mediation Institute, and the ADR Institute of Canada. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Dispute Neutrals, and a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators. He received his Chartered Mediator designation in 2017, and his Chartered Arbitrator designation in 2020.
Mark is active in the community and in the legal profession. He is a volunteer, board member, and the President of the Lawyers Assistance Program of BC.
Renee Collins is an experienced mediator with Quantum Mediation, mediating a wide range of disputes including personal injury, commercial litigation, and insurance issues. She also has experience in the areas of medical malpractice, family law and estates, and has a particular focus on the relationship aspects of conflicts.
Renee was called to the bar in 1992. In addition to practicing law and mediating a wide range of issues and disputes, Renee also has deep organizational governance and management experience, having occupied senior management roles at Mediate BC, as Manager of Roster Programs, and at the Law Society of BC, as Manager of Governance and Board Relations. This experience has provided her with unique insight into corporate governance and relations, workplace dynamics, organizational conflict, and government relations. She is trained and skilled at leadership and conflict coaching, is an experienced facilitator, and is a full time Instructor with the Law Society's PLTC program. She is a member of the Civil Roster of Mediate BC and a non-practicing member of the Law Society.
