Restitution is an important and sometimes overlooked area of the law. It is said that restitution is one-third of the common law. This area of the law is essentially concerned with providing remedies where one party has been deprived and another unjustly enriched. Restitution is not straightforward—there are a number of theoretical and practical issues shaping this area of the law. This course will be a comprehensive introduction to the critical elements and current issues and developments in the jurisprudence surrounding restitution. The objective of this program will be to provide civil litigation counsel with another set of tools in their tort claims arsenal.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 5 hours (this course does not contain professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management). Please note: The CPD hours of the rebroadcast will either meet or exceed the CPD hours of the original live webinar course.
