Who should attend: All lawyers and members of the legal profession
Learning level: All levels
Advances in communication and the ease of international travel have greatly diminished the significance of geographic borders and cultural boundaries. As the global village shrinks, your legal practice now has the opportunity to access a larger, more diverse group of clients. When you are able to respect and embrace their diversity, your practice will have a better opportunity to attract and retain more customers, build better long-term relationships with them, and ultimately grow your practice.
While there is no one-size-fits-all approach to working with a multicultural client base, this course will explore best practices and common pitfalls when working with people of different cultures. In this course, we will:
- discuss what it means to be a lawyer and professional in different countries and cultures
- explore the impact of stereotypes and our own unconscious biases and how to get past them
- provide strategies for effective communication and gaining a common understanding with your clients
- help you develop best practices for creating a strong level of trust with your client
Join us to learn how you can develop your cultural competence to better understand the different needs and expectations of multicultural groups of clients and grow your practice!
