Whether you are a long-time user of videoconference platforms in your legal practice or COVID-19 has dragged you to the videoconference era, communication skills are critical to succeeding on these virtual platforms. These skills will help you to manage your staff and your clients' relationships as well as opposing counsel, discoveries, and appearances in court. Videoconferencing platforms are lifesaving in the era of COVID-19 but have their pitfalls.
This webinar draws on the most current research on effective communication and pitfalls that can have negative consequences. It will highlight the important habits that you probably already have for successful in-person communication but that you do so automatically that you aren’t even aware of them. However, not knowing what you are missing can cause miscommunication with clients and before the court. It will highlight the most common pitfalls of communicating virtually and how to avoid them, as well as provide some tips on best practices.
This webinar will help you relate better to your clients and your colleagues, as well as be aware of what you need to know to effectively conduct a virtual discovery or court appearance.
