Adversity often triggers negative thoughts, which can cause unhappiness. Resilience is the ability to recover after adversity. We plant the seeds of resilience in the way we process negative events. Resilient people tend to have a more positive attitude and deal with stress more efficiently. Research on lawyers' personalities reveals that lawyers score in the bottom 30% or lower on the resilience trait. While some people are simply more resilient than others are, the good news is that resilience can be learned. You are not your thoughts and not all thoughts are true. This workshop will help you build resilience through the science of positive psychology.
