Using expert evidence to make your case come alive!
Wednesday, February 19, 2020
12:00 pm – 1:30 pm via webinar
Who should attend: Civil litigators, personal injury litigators
Learning level: Fundamental/Intermediate
Expert evidence can play a critical role in accident cases but it is not a foregone conclusion that such evidence will be effective or even impactful. The full power of expert evidence to shape the narrative of what happened at an accident will depend on asking the right questions, paying attention to the important details, and building a coherent narrative around the details that is both illuminating and readily comprehensible and advances your theory of the case.
At this course you will learn:
- what physics can bring to accident/event analysis
- basic concepts and the framework for analysis
- best practices for retaining and instructing the expert
- how expert evidence can be utilized: done with real life examples drawn from litigation
This course brings together senior accident litigation counsel, Jamie Thornback and engineering evidence expert, Geoffrey Thor (The Deadliest Warrior) Desmoulin, for an information packed session for litigators.
