You may be well-versed in general corporate financing, but are you confident in your knowledge of tech industry specific financing? Created in response to your Working with the Tech Start-up 2017 requests for finance-focused content, we are delighted to present our new Financing the Tech Start-up course. Unique in BC, this course will explore the complexities, the investment vehicles and investors available, the stages of financing, and the legal documents you will need to draft and negotiate in tech industry financing. You will increase your knowledge and effectiveness in serving the special business needs of your start-up clients.
At this course, you will learn:
- the steps to take and questions to ask to get your clients set up for financing
- the ins and outs of various rounds of financing (Angel, Series A & Beyond)
- the alternatives your clients have to taking traditional debt or equity financing
- government programs that can benefit your clients
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6.5 hours (including a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
