Effective visual communication strategies for successful mediation
Wednesday, February 28, 2018

KPMG, 11th Floor - 777 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver
Who should attend: All those engaged in the practice of mediation.
Learning level: All levels
Visual information combining images, words, and colour impacts humans far more effectively than the verbal and written communication we usually rely on. Come to this first-time workshop with Kat Bellamano and Lisa Arora to learn how you can leverage visual communication as a “secret ingredient” to reframe the way your clients think about conflicts and possibilities, and engage them more actively in developing durable agreements. If you work with clients who are at an impasse or have barriers (such as addictions, mental health issues, chronic pain, low literacy, history of trauma, etc.) this is the tool that can get you over that hump. Artistic skill NOT required.
After participating in this workshop, you will be able to:
- understand why visuals are an effective tool in dispute resolution processes
- use visuals to “push” and “pull” information during mediation
- identify communication challenges and key moments where visual communication could really help your clients
- incorporate visuals into your practice, even if you worry that you’re not creative or can’t draw
Join us and leverage compelling visual communication today!
