Jump Start on CPD 2018
Friday, March 9, 2018
9:00 am – 11:00 am via webinar
(Original date: October 31, 2017)
Who should attend: Any lawyer, paralegal, or legal administrative assistant who is frustrated with Microsoft Word or just wants to make better use of this technology.
Learning level: All levels
If you're tired of wrestling with Word's formatting every time you have to draft something more complex than a letter, this is your class. Microsoft Word classes designed for the general public don't address the issues lawyers face when drafting legal instruments. By contrast, this class is designed by lawyers, for lawyers. We'll cover legal drafting issues like automatic paragraph numbering, complex page numbering schemes, tables of contents, footnotes, and paragraph number cross-referencing. This class assumes basic familiarity with Word.
Make a day of it! Join us for the other two sessions, A Lawyer's Guide to PDFs and iPad for Legal Professionals: iLawyer with an iPad.
Also, check out Paul J. Unger's session, Tame the Digital Chaos—Distraction, Time, Task & Email Management for Lawyers and Staff.
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 2 hours (a minimum of 1 hour will involve professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
Course Instructor
Paul J. Unger, Esq. — Affinity Consulting, Columbus, OH
