Who should attend: Lawyers practicing in the area of immigration law. This course may also be of interest to criminal lawyers and lawyers practicing administrative law.

Learning level: Intermediate/Advanced

Join us for in-depth discussions of the most significant developments in the area of immigration law over the past year and look ahead to some of the critical issues that are emerging. Practical and relevant, you will gain new ideas and strategies so that you can represent your clients more effectively!

After taking this course you will:

  • understand the changes to immigration law over the past year
  • be able to apply the latest policies and procedures to your practice
  • be aware of different perspectives as they relate to immigration law
  • gain practice tips and tools on non-legal approaches to dealing with your clients' issues 

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours (including a minimum of 1.25 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management.)
