Who should attend: Union and management side lawyers, arbitrators and other adjudicators, union representatives, labour relations and human resources practitioners, and all others interested in labour relations topics

Learning level: Fundamental/Intermediate

Whether you are on the management or union side, understanding the perspective of the other is key to giving good advice and making good decisions. Benefit by learning from faculty from both sides of the bargaining table as they discuss key developments and issues in labour law.

This year's conference will feature arbitrator and mediator Vince Ready, who will talk about the art of resolving high-stakes disputes, and also a lunch panel of industry experts who will discuss the waterfront industry. Join us to:

  • find out more about the 2024 Labour Relations Code Review directly from review panel members
  • learn the art of resolving high-stakes disputes from arbitrator and mediator Vince Ready
  • hear about recent developments at the BC Labour Relations Board from the Chair and other board members
  • get up to date on privacy issues in unionized workplaces
  • get your annual labour update on Labour Relations Board, judicial review, and Charter cases of note

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6.5 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 2 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
