Who should attend: Managing partners and personnel who work in law office management

Learning level: Intermediate

Firms are struggling to find — and keep — good associates. When firms do find them, they may have to pay the associate more than initially budgeted, hoping the hire will work out in the long run. But associates may not become the producers they promised to be. Yet, unless associates can be held onto long enough to become owners, there's no succession strategy.

Take back control of your firm by better managing your associates. In this session, we'll look at everything from hires and onboarding to training, mentoring, compensation, and potential partnership.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 1.5 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)

Course Instructor
Heather Gray-Grant — Business Strategist, Marketing Planner and Certified Executive Coach, Vancouver
