Indigenous real estate is in an exciting place, with First Nations and their business partners leading innovation in real estate transactions, development, land use models, and opportunities.

We will explore a broad spectrum of topics within the real estate space to provide context, technical knowledge, best and culturally aligned practices for real estate transactions, leasing, development, joint ventures, and more.

Knowledge of the building blocks and mechanics of Indigenous real estate will enable you to assist industry, government, and Indigenous leaders to form effective business and governance structures, as well as successful business partnerships that can lead their communities toward economic prosperity.

You will learn from the experts about:

  • Indigenous real estate transactions
  • development
  • leasing
  • Indigenous-owned development entities
  • joint ventures and partnership structuring
  • economic development
  • industry-First Nations partnerships
  • different contexts of Indigenous lands, including those subject to Land Code

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
