About the Course Chairs
Timothy Lack is a Vancouver lawyer and partner with Lunny Atmore LLP, Vancouver, and practices mainly in the areas of real estate and business law. In addition to his active real estate practice, he acts for many business people and companies who utilize his services for all their commercial matters.
Before completing his legal training, Tim worked as a sales representative for one of Canada’s premier resource companies. Since his call to the BC bar in 1994, he has been the responsible lawyer for over 8,000 real estate transactions, acting for banks, credit unions, and private lenders. His work with private lenders is extensive and he has acted as a lecturer to other lawyers on the subject. Tim has presented at various CLEBC programs over the years and has served as chair of the Residential Real Estate Conference since 2013.
Jennifer Neville is a lawyer with Hammerberg Lawyers LLP and has been providing advice to strata corporations and owners about strata property matters for 14 years. She assists clients with bylaw and resolution drafting, governance, and compliance with the Strata Property Act, strata financing, repairs, collections, and disputes. Jennifer regularly gives seminars and presentations for organizations such as the Professional Association of Managing Agents, Strata Property Agents of BC, and the Condominium Home Owners Association. In addition, she is a Director of the Condominium Home Owners Association.

Michael Geller, Architect, AIBC, FCIP, RPP – The Geller Group, Vancouver
Michael Geller is a Vancouver-based architect, planner, real estate consultant and property developer with 45 years’ experience in the public, private and institutional sectors. He is President of the Geller Group which provides planning and real estate consulting services to both developers and those who own property but are not in the development business. He is also active in undertaking his own small property developments. Michael serves as an Adjunct Professor in SFU’s Centre for Sustainable Development and is an affiliate of UBC’s Masters in Urban Design program.
Some of his past notable projects include the first phase redevelopment along the South Shore False Creek while working for CMHC; rezoning of the Steveston Waterfront on behalf of BC Packers; planning and development of Deering Island in Southlands, (where he currently lives); planning and approvals for the Furry Creek community, redevelopment of the Westin Bayshore Property in Coal Harbour; and UniverCity at SFU.
More recently, he rezoned the Grouse Inn property at Capilano Road and Marine Drive in North Vancouver for a major new highrise community, and a property owned by Hollyburn Properties for West Vancouver’s first new rental housing project in over 40 years.
Michael has been honoured as a life member of the Architectural Institute of BC, a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners and serves on numerous boards. He is a frequent commentator on urban issues and writes a bi-weekly column for the Vancouver Courier and the ‘Homes Away from Home’ column in the Vancouver Sun.
