About Self-Paced eLearning
Easily accessible in a one to two-hour program, self-paced elearning provides video, quiz questions, and reference materials. The programs are available on demand for two weeks from your date of purchase. You work at your own pace, you control the video and question playback, you can stop part way through and your answers are saved. These programs provide CPD credit for working on your own, at your own pace.

This course explains the various forms of undertakings and considers:
- Whose undertaking is it?
- Who can relieve you of it?
- Whose responsibility is it to discharge the undertaking if you leave the firm and the file stays behind?
- Can an undertaking be imposed on you?
- What are the considerations when giving or accepting an undertaking?
- What happens when an undertaking goes wrong?
Note: This course was created before January 1, 2013, when the Professional Code of Conduct for British Columbia (the Code) replaced the Professional Conduct Handbook (the Handbook).The sections dealing with undertakings have not changed substantially. There is information in the materials referring to the relevant sections in both the Code and the Handbook.
