An effective criminal defence practice requires knowledge of more than a smattering of civil law. Do you know enough not to "drop the ball"?
Many criminal Lawyers practice exclusively in the area of criminal law. This course will provide criminal lawyers with a grounding in topics from civil law that are most likely to have an impact on their practices. Topics to be covered will include: ICBC claims, wills and estates law, the law of civil forfeiture, social media and privacy, affidavits and transcripts, family law, and immigration law.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours (a minimum of 1 hour will involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management.)
