Join us for an in-depth discussion on the consequences for those who have affiliations with cannabis when crossing the US border

Who should attend: Lawyers who represent or intend to represent clients who are involved in the cannabis industry. Lawyers who represent or intend to represent clients who conduct business with cannabis-related industries.

Learning level: All levels

This session will cover:

  • background on number of cross-border transactions to the US
  • background on US Immigration law and how it is affected by some US states' legalization of marijuana: precursor to nation-wide Canadian legalization
  • review of current US policies’ effect on Canadians through case examples
  • review of potential forms of relief
