At this conference, lawyers with dedicated charities and not-for-profit practices will provide you with up to date information on current issues affecting your organization. You will leave better equipped to deal with the governance, tax, and the many other legal issues that arise in the daily operation of a charity or not-for-profit organization.
At this course you will:
- find out what to expect in a last minute transition under BC's Societies Act in advance of the November 28, 2018 deadline
- explore the implications of having lawyers as directors
- discuss hot topics such as dealing with sexual misconduct, privacy, and access to corporate records
