Who should attend: Corporate paralegals and legal support staff, articling students and all those who advise, volunteer for, or work with charities or not-for-profits: specifically lawyers, directors and officers, executive directors, accountants, and trustees.
Learning level: Fundamental/Intermediate
Do you need to maintain a BC society but don't know what needs to be done annually? In this course, experienced faculty will guide you through the preparation and filing of documents and provide you with checklists, tips, prescribed forms, and precedents.
You will learn about:
- holding an AGM or preparing consent resolutions in lieu
- financial disclosure and obligations
- senior managers — if you have any and why it matters
- ongoing maintenance of your society's records
