DescriptionMore DetailAgenda

CASL compliance confusion? No more!

Friday, June 23, 2017
12:00 – 1:00 pm

via Webinar

Who should attend: All lawyers and in-house counsel.

Learning level: All

Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) came into force on July 1, 2014 with a 36-month transition period. On July 1, 2017, that transition period will end, and at some point in the future CASL contraventions will be subject to enforcement through private litigation, in addition to regular CRTC enforcement.

Join us to learn about:

  • the effects of CASL so far
  • compliance during and after the transition period for the new legislation
  • enforcing and defending CASL contraventions investigated by the CRTC or, later, in private litigation
  • how to advise your clients on compliance
  • how to protect yourself and your clients from CASL actions
