About the Course Chairs
Katrina Harry is lead counsel at the Parents Legal Centre, a program for child protection matters operated by the Legal Services Society in Vancouver. Called to the bar in 2006, she has practiced mainly in child protection. She has represented parents and extended family members at every stage of Ministry of Children and Family Development or Delegated Aboriginal Agency involvement. Katrina has authored and reviewed numerous publications for the Legal Services Society in the area of children and families, and has spoken frequently at conferences.
Patricia L. MacDonald joined the Vancouver law firm Stewart Feenie in 2010, and became a partner in 2013. Stewart Feenie specializes in providing legal services to the Director of Child, Family and Community Services and the Director’s agents and delegates in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Before joining Stewart Feenie, Patricia ran her own litigation practice specializing in family law and representing parents in child protection matters. She had also been staff counsel with the B.C. Public Interest Advocacy Centre as well as litigation counsel in a full-service law firm. Called to the BC bar in February 1993, Patricia has been a frequent speaker at conferences, courses, and universities.
